:Typical... Just typical... After I buy an EGR I'm told that the elimination kit is preferred. :Not to mention the "oh so pleasant" experience of getting to the EGR. : :Nonetheless, thank you Ash!
you will be glad you have that egr in the near future (CA) especially...any smog tech who really doesnt want to loose his/her license, knows what the guys from sacto look for when they come trollin..just looking to visually see the egr is one thing, looking to see if its functional is another....pulling some vacume (at the egr sol port to the valve is easy) if the car stumbles at idle with vac. applied. the egr "works" if not? who knows. absolutely none of the smog shops up here will bypass this egr test..none of them. the fine is heavy for the shop committing the "crime" and the tech will have his license either pulled, or put on probation. all for a $50 smog test? common...
